The former lightweight champion is looking to make it an easy night in order to get the belt back that he never lost.
Incase you missed it, Charles Oliveira is not messing around when it comes to the main event this Saturday night. During the UFC 280 press conference, Charles predicted how he would get it done against Islam Makhachev, saying that he’s going to knock him out in round one. You can see Charles comments below.
Charles Oliveira won the lightweight title against Michael Chandler, but ended up forfeiting the title due to missing weight ahead of his winning fight against Justin Gaethje. Now, Charles and Islam will battle for the vacant title and we can now confirm that both fighters made weight, so we will have a new champion. UFC 280 prelims kick off at 10am EST and the main card kicks off at 2pm EST.
