It looks like JBL will be involved in WWE programming going forward.
JBL recently appeared on an episode of SmackDown, inviting Happy Corbin into his limo after chastising Corbin for who he used to be.
According to PW Insider, WWE has plans for the Hall of Famer to appear on future Raw shows in some capacity.
There was talk at Smackdown Friday night that WWE Hall of Famer JBL would be at the next several Raws in some capacity.

As mentioned previously, Corbin is a SmackDown superstar, but with the recent trade of Rey Mysterio from RAW to SmackDown, it does open the door for a possible trade the other way around. Time will tell how this will be handled going forward, but it does appear that JBL will be back on WWE TV soon.
