Bully Ray Says Bray Wyatt Reminds Him Of Character From “The Silence Of The Lambs” Prequel

Bully Ray has shared his thoughts on Bray Wyatt’s return.

At WWE Extreme Rules, Bray Wyatt made his much-anticipated return to WWE. He would appear on SmackDown the following Friday, delivering an introspective promo before being taunted on the big screen with an image from his past and a message that read, “You don’t know who you’re dealing with, little one. But you will.”

Speaking on the latest episode of Busted Open, Bully Ray commented on Wyatt’s promo, comparing him to a character from the 2002 film, Red Dragon.

“You know, in watching him and in listening to him, I was saying to myself, ‘This reminds me of something. This reminds me of a character,’ but I couldn’t put my finger on it. Then when we just played the audio, it came to me. Do you guys remember the movie Red Dragon in the Silence of the Lambs story? He reminds me of Francis Dolarhyde who is played by Ralph Fiennes, the guy who had the tattoo of the Red Dragon on his back. It almost seems like when Francis Dolarhyde met the blind girl he wanted to be good but the voices in his head wouldn’t allow him to be good and he turned back into the monster. It almost seems like Bray Wyatt coming out as Windham Rotunda in his purest form, wanted to be good and bare his soul, but the voices in his head, the character’s that he’s portrayed just won’t let him. That’s the road I think they’re going down. Got to be careful, though,” he said.

Bully Ray is set to compete on the October 20 episode of IMPACT Wrestling, teaming with Tommy Dreamer against BULLET CLUB’s Chris Bey and Ace Austin. Bully made his return to IMPACT at Bound For Glory, winning the Call Your Shot Gauntlet.
