The future AEW star appears to be exempt from the fresh edict that AEW stars will not be working GCW for now on.
Nick Wayne is one of the hottest prospects in pro wrestling, and is set to be offered an AEW contract when he graduates high school. With his 18th birthday approaching, many fans expect the 17 year old to be one to watch when he signs for the promotion.
Reports have suggested over the last few days that AEW talent will be forbidden from working GCW events going forward. Many fans wondered how this would apply to Wayne and it appears the reported edict will not affect Wayne. Both Joey Janela and Brett Lauderdale would confirm that Wayne will not be affected by the new edict.
It seems fans can relax as the youngster will continue to hone his craft on the indies, including in GCW, until he signs his contract with All Elite Wrestling.
