Masha Slamovich, who has been one of the independent scenes biggest burgeoning stars in recent years, continues to make waves with IMPACT! Wrestling since her arrival approximately one year ago. The Russian prodigy has become one of the top faces for IMPACT’s Knockouts division.
Set to make her first appearance at IMPACT’s flagship pay-per-view extravaganza Bound For Glory, Slamovich sat with Ash Nova of TWM Talks and We Talk Indies ahead of the festivities. With The Russian Dynamite set to compete against Knockout’s World Champion Jordynne Grace, she made it evident that she looks forward to the challenge that it presents.
“It’s a match that I’ve wanted to run back ever since it first briefly happened in 2019,” Slamovich continued. “We’re both different wrestlers now, the stakes are much higher, and it’s Bound For Glory. She’s definitely a strong competitor, she’s a skilled competitor as well, but I think the real question is ‘is she worried about me?’ Or is she more worried about the mind games that have been going on? You attract what you think, so ask her the question.”
Furthermore, Slamovich discussed future competition as Nova inquired on who Slamovich may want to defend the championship against should Slamovich leave Albany, New York victorious. Masha noted that she’ll “be ready for all comers.” One fascinating match would be Slamovich against Killer Kelly, whose name did pop up shortly after, with Slamovich pondering the question of “who’s the real killer between the two.”
You can watch Slamovich contend for the IMPACT Knockout’s Championship at Bound For Glory this Friday on FITE.tv or your local pay-per-view provider. The show will also feature bouts such as Mike Bailey vs Frankie Kazarian, Honor No More vs Motor City Machine Guns and Josh Alexander vs Eddie Edwards.
