UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier Set To Referee Seth Rollins And Matt Riddle’s Fight Pit Match At Extreme Rules

The former UFC Champion and huge wrestling fan will be the man wearing the referee’s stripes at Extreme Rules on October 8th.

Ariel Helwani broke the news late on Saturday evening as UFC held a fight night event. Helwani announced that Cormier would be refereeing the match and included a quote from the former heavyweight champion.

Daniel Cormier will serve as guest referee for next Saturday’s Fight Pit Match between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins at WWE’s Extreme Rules in Philly. Oct. 8.

There has long been talk about WWE wanting to work with Cormier and DC has been not shy about how much he enjoys watching Seth Rollins wrestle. Time will tell if this will lead to a deal between the two parties but for now fans can look forward to the appearance from one of the most decorated comabt sports athletes of all time.
