IMPACT Wrestling Stars Make PWI Top 500

IMPACT Wrestling has 16 stars who made the annual Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 list. Let’s take a look at who’s on there:

Coming in at #14, Josh Alexander is a former IMPACT X Division champ and current IMPACT World Champion. He has defeated opponents like AEW star and former IMPACT World Champion Christian Cage, most recent former IMPACT World Champion, Moose, and New Japan Pro Wrestling star Tomohiro Ishii. Josh deserves his spot on this list, and some fans opinion should’ve been even higher on the list. Josh signed a new multi-year contract with the company a few months ago, and is currently set to defend his IMPACT World Title against Eddie Edwards at Bound For Glory on October 7th.

Just outside of the Top 20 is former IMPACT World Champion, Moose. Moose signed a new multi-year contract with the company near the end of last year. Moose held the Title for about 6 months and was defeated by current World Champion, Josh Alexander, at Rebellion back in April. He is currently set to fight both Maclin and Sami Callihan in a Barbed Wire Massacre match at the LIVE Victory Road event on September 23rd.

At #30 is current IMPACT Wrestling X Division Champion, “Speedball” Mike Bailey. Mike has been tearing though both some independent companies and IMPACT Wrestling as a defending champion. From former AEW star Jack Evans at Emergence, to New Japan Pro Wrestling talent Rocky Romero, Bailey has seen a wide array of competitors. Bailey signed with IMPACT about 1 year ago and made his debut at Hard to Kill back in January of this year. He is currently slated to defend his X Division title TOMORROW night against Mascara Dorada, and then has an X Division Title defense at the Victory Road LIVE event on September 23rd, currently awaiting an announcement on who his opponent will be, which is reported to be somebody outside of the company.

Next up is #30, former IMPACT Wrestling X-Division Champion, Ace Austin. Ace recently signed a new multi-year deal with IMPACT a few months ago. He’s also been a staple on the AAW company out of Chicago, IL as their Heritage Champion, as well as a regular with Pro Wrestling Revolver. Ace is currently part of the Bullet Club group, which has factions in both AEW and IMPACT Wrestling.

Another one to make the list at #49 is former IMPACT Wrestling X Division Champion, Trey Miguel. Trey has been a staple in both IMPACT Wrestling and within the company as a main part of the X Division. He’s a great extension of IMPACT who also wrestlers with AAA.

Next up, featured lucha star Laredo Kid at #66. Like Trey, he’s been a huge part of the x division and a top lucha libre talent in the company. Laredo Kid recently disclosed that he’s signed a contract with IMPACT Wrestling as well. Laredo can always be counted on to deliver quality matches no matter who the opponent.

Next up is current IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts World Champion, Jordynne Grace, at #97. Jordynne signed a new multi-year contract with IMPACT early last year, and became a 2x IMPACT Knockouts champion at Slammiversary when she became the first-ever Queen of the Mountain. Grace is a former Digital Media and Kncockouts World Tag Team champion, and will be defending her IMPACT Knockouts title against a mystery opponent at Victory Road, and then if she retains there, goes on to defend against fellow knockout Masha Slamovich at Bound for Glory on October 7th.

At #110 is IMPACT knockout and number one contender for the Knockouts World title, Masha Slamovich. Masha signed a contract with IMPACT in October of last year, and has gone undefeated since her debut. Masha fights in independent companies – such as Game Changer Wrestling – GCW – as a regular competitor. Masha is currently undefeated in IMPACT Wrestling and gets her IMPACT Knockouts World title shot at Bound for Glory PPV on October 7th.

Next up, at #128 is former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion, is Eddie Edwards. Eddie signed a new contract with IMPACT sometime over the past year or so, is the current leader of the group Honor No More, and top contender to the IMPACT World Title, waiting for his title shot at Bound For Glory on October 7th.

Next up at #133 is former IMPACT Wrestling X Division champion and current Bullet Club member, Chris Bey. Chris has been part of the Bullet Club faction for over 1 year now and is a regular contender in the X division. Some fans would love to see Chris Bey as IMPACT World Champion, and that’s hard to argue with. He’s certainly earned a good run at the top.

At #148 is former X division and form IMPACT World Champion, Rich Swann. Rich had a great run at the top when he was the World champion and has been a solid feature in the X division as well.

At #164 is lucha libre star Black Taurus. Taurus revealed within the past few months that he’s signed to an IMPACT contract. He’s a great star for his size and a good talent shared with IMPACT partner, AAA.

Next up is one half of the best tag team not just in IMPACT Wrestling, but also one of the best tag teams in the entire industry right now – the Motor City Machine Guns – sitting at #202 is Chris Sabin. Chris has had some great matches this year with guys like Maclin, Jay White, and even his tag team partner, Alex Shelley. The Motor City Machine Guns are set to take on the Good Brothers tomorrow night on IMPACTonAXSTV.

Next up at #134 is – most recently – former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion, former IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champion, and leader of the group Violent By Design. Eric is a TNA/IMPACT veteran and helps out the locker room. He battled Josh Alexander for the IMPACT World Title for Slammiversary back in January. Eric has been a solid part of the tag team and main event scene for awhile.

Sitting at #245 is a member of the Honor No More group, and one of the craziest wrestlers still on the scene today, IMPACT Wrestling star PCO. He’s a former member of Ring of Honor and a disgruntled IMPACT employee who’s trying to take the company down with the rest of the group.

Finally, former OVW Heavyweight Champion and IMPACT Wrestling talent, Mahabali Shera, is #388 on the list. Shera is one of the very first Indian-born talent on the IMPACT roster.
