Norma Dumont says she is the next contender for 145-pound belt following win at UFC 279

Norma Dumont wants to be the next one in line for Amanda Nunes UFC Featherweight championship.

Dumont defeated Danyelle Wolf at UFC 279 on Saturday with a dominant unanimous decision win over the three-time U.S. national champion boxer at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Brazilian showed off her hands and grappling against Wolf and is ready to challenge UFC dual champion Amanda Nunes for her featherweight title.

“I’m here to fight. If the UFC doesn’t want to give me a title shot now, let us work,” Dumont told reporters though an interpreter at the post-fight news conference. “Let us fight. I want to beat somebody up.

“If the 145 belt goes up, I’m the one that’s the next contender. And if anybody wants to go in front of me, they’re going to have to fight me first.”
