Pat McAfee Leaving Commentary Booth For College GameDay, Triple H Comments

Pat McAfee will be leaving SmackDown’s commentary booth for now.

The fan favorite Pat McAfee will be taking some time off from being the SmackDown color commentator alongside Michael Cole as he has accepted a role with College GameDay.

Pat addressed the changes on his podcast, The Pat McAfee show.

Triple H would comment on the changes, remarking that WWE will welcome Pat back as soon as he’s ready.

Pat will remain a member of the @WWE Universe and we look forward to his return. #UpToSomethingSZN

Time will tell if and when Pat McAfee will return to the SmackDown commentary booth. A replacement has not been announced.
