Last week WWE announced that NXT UK would be going into hiatus while they set up to rebrand the promotion as NXT Europe for 2023, with the brand going into hiatus many of the NXT UK locker room were released by WWE.

Thankfully for any of these released stars and despite what people may have said, the British Wrestling Independent scene is still alive and well, whilst maybe not at the heights of five years ago Brit Wres is thriving giving many of these released stars an opportunity to continue wrestling.

Whilst it does seem that NXT UK Stars did have a 30 day release clause in their contracts, with former NXT UK Wrestlers tweeting that they will be available for shows as of September 23rd

However it does seem that former NXT UK stars that already had dates agreed with independent promotions whilst employed by the WWE are still able to work those dates despite the 30 day clause.

Such as Eddie Dennis and Nina Samuels who have already popped up at UK shows, Eddie Dennis recently appearing at the Rev Pro UK 10th anniversary show defeating Lord Gideon Grey as well as an appearance at Riot Cabaret Wrestling.
