WATCH: Colby Covington’s Reaction to Leon Edwards Walk-Off KO vs. Kamaru Usman for Welterweight Championship

The former interim UFC Welterweight champion’s reaction to the unpredictable KO win from new champion Leon Edwards was priceless.

Colby Covington had the face of many after Edwards defeated Kamaru Usman at UFC 278 to become the new UFC Welterweight champion.

In the 5th and final round, down 4 rounds to 1, Edwards would land the kick heard around the world to become the first Jamaican UFC champion and the 2nd British champion after UFC legend Michael Bisping.

Here is the reaction of Covington’s who fought and was unsuccessful twice in defeating Usman for the Welterweight championship.

Covington has not spoken about the aftermath of UFC 278’s main event. It will be interesting to see the plans the UFC makes for the first defense for Edwards who could fight Usman in a trilogy or fight Jorge Masvidal in England.

Another fight the UFC could do is the winner of Khamzat Chimaev vs. Nate Diaz at UFC 279 next month in the main event. UFC President Dana White has said if Diaz is successful, he would look to try and book a fight for them vs. the Welterweight champion. However Diaz is on his last fight for his current contract in the UFC and if Chimaev is unsuccessful, it would cause a big stir in the division on seeing who the current contender is for the Welterweight champion if Usman does take some time off.
