PROGRESS kick off their Deadly Viper Tour this Saturday the 13th of August in Sheffield with Copperhead (Full Card Here), the following day on Sunday14th of August PROGRESS make their 2nd stop of the Deadly Viper Tour in Newcastle with Cottonmouth.

The Tag Team championships will be on the line but who will be the champions following Copperhead the day before? the show will also feature the first Qualifying match for the Natural Progression Series and more.

Full card as announced so far;

Shreddy vs Liam Slater vs Screwface Ahmed (NPS Qualifier)

The first of the NPS qualifying matches see three superstars who have been vital to the Newcastle and greater North East wrestling scene. Screwface Ahmed is the most experienced competitor in the match with nearly 20 years experience, despite this long tenure Ahmed only made his PROGRESS debut last year. Liam Slater is one of the most underrated competitors in the UK, coming up on nearly 10 years of in ring competition, Slater won his first major championship recently winning the North Wrestling NCL Championship. Shreddy is the jacked and stacked daddy of Brit Wres and it’s easy to see why the genetic freak is blessed with both athleticism and power, he recently won the NABBA Mr Britain Bodybuilding competition.

Spike Trivet vs Maggot

Maggot will be in action in Sheffield against Gene Munny. Maggot picked up his first singles win back at 24/7 and will be hoping he can keep that momentum going, if he could pick up a win over both Munny and Trivet it could put the current wXw Champion in line for a title shot for the PROGRESS World Championship. This will be the first match for Trivet since winning the Thunderbastard match and becoming the No. 1 Contender, he will not want loose any momentum so will be looking for a dominant performance against the popular Maggot.

Sunshine Machine vs Lykos Gym

Sunshine Machine are currently the PROGRESS Tag Team Champions but this could change depending on what happens in Sheffield the day before, if they do retain in Sheffield this will be the their 3rd title defence. Lykos Gym will be hoping that Sunshine Machine will be the champions come Copperhead as they will be eager to reclaim the gold having been the first team to hold the championships when PROGRESS relaunched last year.

Smokin’ Aces vs Greedy Souls

Former Champions the Smoking Aces will be hoping Greedy Souls are able to claim the gold in Sheffield, with the Aces also wanting to reclaim the gold they held almost 200 days, even if the titles are not on the line a win for the Smokin’ Aces could put them back in line for a title shot. Greedy Souls have plenty of history with the Aces, with the teams facing off on three separate occasions in a PROGRESS ring, each time they faced each other it was Aces’ that picked up the win something the Souls will no doubt want to rectify.

Kanouske Takeshita vs Dean Allmark

Dean Almark is coming off yet another loss to Chris Ridgeway at 24/7 and is set to face Pro Wrestling Noah’s Hayata at Copperhead the day prior to this. Takeshita will have just made his PROGRESS debut the day prior to this show facing young star Leon Slater who replaces the injured Robbie X.

Hayata, Chris Ridgeway & Luke Jacobs vs 0121, Man Like Dereiss, Leon Slater & Dan Maloney

Chris Ridgeway brings both his North West Strong and Stinger stables together to form North West Stinger? As he teams with Luke Jacobs and Hayata. Pro Wrestling’s Noah’s GHC Jr Heavyweight Champion. Hayata would’ve just made his debut for PROGRESS the day prior. Both Jacobs and Man Like Dereiss will be competing over the Atlas Championship at Copperhead so this will provide either competitor at chance at revenge depending on the results of that match. Leon Slater who recently joined Dan Maloney, Man Like Dereiss and Jody Fliesch in the 0121 is yet to pick up a win in a PROGRESS ring. During the recent Thunderbastard match at 24/7 Maloney accidently eliminated his 0121 teammate Man Like Dereiss so could this cause issues. Maloney also may be distracted by his quest for revenge against Spike Trivet following the conclusion of the Thunderbastard match that saw Trivet use underhanded tactics to defeat Maloney.

Rhio will be in action

It has also been announced that Rhio will also be in action, as no women’s match has been announced yet could we see Rhio face whoever comes out on top in the Women’s Championship match at Copperhead between Challenger Laura Di Matteo and Champion Kanji.

Cottonmouth is set for Sunday the 14th of August at the Boiler Room in Newcastle and is part of PROGRESS’ Deadly Viper Tour that will also be making stops at Sheffield, Birmingham, Cardiff and Manchester.
