Cub Swanson to Move Down to Bantamweight, Will Fight Jonathan Martinez in October

A new goal is on the mindset for the UFC Hall of Famer.

Cub Swanson will be moving down to Bantamweight to fight Jonathan Martinez at a UFC event that is being held in October. The last time we saw Swanson ended with a 1st round finish over Darren Elkins in December of 2021.

The news was first reported by Meni Mayer, it was later confirmed by Martinez who posted to Instagram that he was ready to go for this big challenge against Swanson.

Martinez last fight came away with a unanimous decision win vs. Vince Morales in May of this year, he will look to extend his 3-fight win streak with a huge fight vs. Swanson coming in October at a UFC event that hasn’t received a date yet.
