CM Punk Talks About His Foot Injury, Says It’s Healing

CM Punk is out of action with a foot injury.

Following CM Punk’s AEW Championship win at Double Or Nothing, Punk was injured on the following AEW Dynamite, destroying his foot. We haven’t seen Punk on TV since they announced his hiatus. But, CM Punk was apart of San Diego Comic-Con representing AEW, where he did a series of press interviews. During an interview with Skewed and Reviewed Gareth Von Kallenbach, Punk let everyone know a small update on how his injury process is going, saying his foot feels like it’s on fire, but it is healing.

It’s healing. It’s not healed. It feels like it’s on fire every day, partly probably because of how much you know I was on my feet all day yesterday. I just don’t wear the boot, but that’s mostly because I want people to recognize that I don’t want them near my foot. I’m working hard to come back; It’s just, it’s a shitty injury you know, not being able to walk and like my entire calf on that side kind of shut down so learning how to walk again is fucking frustrating, but I’m better than I was yesterday, I’ll be better tomorrow, and hopefully I’ll see everybody soon.

Tony Khan did say at the Death Before Dishonor post-show scrum that he isn’t fully commuting on CM Punk being back by All Out.
