AEW will not bench Ortiz while his tag team partner is out with an ACL injury.
There has been no indication to suggest otherwise, but Ortiz has been on AEW TV still since Santana’s injury. Still aligned with Eddie Kingston, it is likely he will get involved in next week’s barbed wire everywhere match on Dynamite between Kingston and Jericho.
Fightful Select posted an update on Santana’s knee injury on Sunday, and mentioned that there are no plans for Ortiz to be taken off TV while his partner is injured.
As of now, we’re told there are no plans to stop using Ortiz that anyone in AEW has heard about.

Time will tell what Ortiz will get up to in the meantime while Santana is recovering from surgery.
