How Long Santana Will Be Out Of Action Revealed

We now know how long Santana will be out of action.

At Blood And Guts, Santana suffered a catastrophic injury to his knee upon entering the match. It was apparent immediately that something major had gone wrong, as Santana spent the remainder of the match lying down until an opportunity arose for medical staff to get him out of the cage.

During his appearance on the “True Gordie” podcast, Chris Jericho provided an update on what’s going on with Santana. The former AEW Champion emphasized that Santana’s injury came from a simple wrestling maneuver.

He f*cked up his knee from doing a simple Rock Bottom. That’s not on top of a cage, that’s not falling off a cage, that’s not getting hit with a barbed wire bat, or whatever. It’s doing a wrestling move, and he’s out eight months.

Eight months is a long time for Santana to be out injured as he had been riding a ton of momentum not only in AEW, but outside the company also. Time will tell if the return time emphasized by Jericho will be accurate but one thing is for sure, Santana is set to have a lengthy time on the shelf.
