‘Hurricane’ Shane Burgos is one of the most exciting fighters in UFC, but has no UFC licensed merchandise.
UFC continues to dominate the MMA world as the biggest promotion in the sport. UFC has deals for video games with EASports, stranding cards with Panini and even their own store with shirts, jackets, belts, anything you can think of. Lots of fighters have been involved with their merchandise, but not Shane Burgos. Shane is a 14-3 fighter who’s been on the UFC roster since 2016. He has wins over the likes of Cub Swanson and Billy Quarantillo. Recently, Shane Burgos spoke with Eurosport nl’s Marcel Dorff, who asked him why he’s not getting any merchandise. This is what Shane had to say.
You F-ing tell me, man, I don’t know what I gotta do, I tweeted to Panini I was like “Yo, why can’t u get some love, man? I’m top 14, I’ve been in the rankings for a couple years now, I got a bunch of fight of the nights, I feel like I’m a pretty exciting fighter, I can get some f-ing love?” I’m not asking for nothing crazy I’m just saying like, put me in the f-ing game or give me a f-ing card or something, and I don’t even give a f-k honestly about cards at the end of the day but I’m saying like, there’s guys in, that are just getting in the UFC and they got these f-ong cards and they’re in the game and I’m just like “what the f-k, man?” I’ve been in the UFC for over five years now, I can’t get a card at least? How f-ing hard is it to give me a card? But, you know what, it’s water under the bridge now, f-k the card, f-k the game, I don’t even give a f-k anymore.

The amount of top 15 ranked fighters not in the UFC video game is ridiculous. Hopefully Shane ends up getting in the game and getting at least a trading card added to the UFC Panini series. The full interview with Shane will come out next week, but you can see the clip posted on social media below.
