Bob Orton Believes His Son Has A Shot At Breaking Ric Flair’s World Title Record

With only 3 world title reigns to go, it is not a bad prediction.

Currently, two superstars share the record for the most world title wins in the WWE with 16. John Cena and Ric Flair have both won 16 world titles and it is expected Cena will break the record before he retires from the ring. One person with an outside shot at breaking that record is Randy Orton, who has been world champion 14 times.

SportsKeeda spoke with “Cowboy” Bob Orton, who predicted his son will break Ric Flair’s record of 16 world titles.

“I think he’s got a shot at it. He sure does. Shoot, I thought he had it already, maybe he doesn’t.”

Bob Orton to SportsKeeda

It is amusing that Bob thought Randy had already beaten the record but he is sure to be a contender to break that record. Orton has said in the past he doesn’t planning on leaving the WWE for Hollywood like John Cena or The Rock, so he may even be the favorite to break the record at this time.
