Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr Set for August 6th at MSG

Jake Paul has officially found his new opponent that’ll be able to step in the ring without any problems involved.

SI’s Chris Mannix was the first to report the news of the fight being in the works on Tuesday.

According to a report from TMZ Sports last week, Tommy Fury’s withdrawal stems from him being denied entry into the U.S. due to his family’s ties to suspected crime boss, Daniel Kinahan.

Paul is set to fight at Madison Square Garden on August 6th vs. Hasim Rahman Jr after Tommy Fury couldn’t make it to the US due to reasons.

“The Problem Child” posted to twitter to confirm the bout against the 12-1 pro who hasn’t liked Paul since the YouTuber-turned-Prizefighter joined the world of boxing.

Paul’s last boxing fight ended in a KO win over former UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in their 2nd fight, the first fight ended by decision and was a win awarded to Paul.

The last time Paul and Rahman Jr. stepped in the ring was for a sparring session 18 months ago, that ended in a war of words being thrown at each other which started the beef between the two.

Rahman is 12-1 with six wins by KO. He is coming off of his first loss in his professional boxing career, a fifth-round TKO loss to James McKenzie Morrison this past April.

Rahman is the son of former WBC and IBF heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, who is most famously known for being one of only two men to defeat boxing legend Lennox Lewis.
