Vince McMahon “Popped Big” For Israel Adesanya’s Undertaker Entrance

It looks like Vince liked Izzy’s gumption.

Israel Adesanya made a special entrance to his fight at UFC 276 over the weekend. With Vince and Stephanie McMahon in attendance along with Triple H, Nick Khan and Pat McAfee, WWE were well represented at the event. Adesanya would pay tribute to the Undertaker in his walkout, and it looks like Vince loved it.

While speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, Pat McAfee talked about Vince McMahon’s reaction to Israel Adesanya’s tribute to The Undertaker. McAfee stated that McMahon popped big for it.

“I’m sitting there and the obvious question is ‘Did you guys know this was coming? Did we just so happen to be here when one of these things happened?’ I don’t think they knew that was coming. I’m not saying they were upset about it though, I think they loved that it was happening.”

At one point I actually looked at Vince and was like ‘Hey, you should think about f**king doing this, seems like a pretty cool thing,’ got a big pop out of him. I guess [Israel Adesanya] is a big WWE fan, we were honored to be over there and got a chance to sit directly behind his corner.”

Adesanya has gone on record repeatedly to state how much of a fan of pro wrestling he is and that he would like to crossover to the WWE at some point in his career. Time will tell when this will occur, but it looks like he’s already in Vince McMahon’s good books.
