AEW Dynamite goes down tonight at 8pm ET/7pm CT/8pm PT on TBS, but what is to be expected on this week’s edition of the show?
This week’s AEW Dynamite has several matches confirmed at this writing, and one promo segment. As usual with Dynamite, it is expected more segments will occur then announced. This preview will cover what is announced along with storylines to watch out for before the show.
First off, the AEW Interim Title is set to be defended for the first time since Jon Moxley captured it at Forbidden Door. He will defend his title vs Brody King of The House Of Black, who won the Royal Rampage match on Friday to earn the shot at the championship.
Moving on to the women’s division, Thunder Rosa and Toni Storm (ThunderStorm) are set to face off with the team of Marina Shafir and Nyla Rose. Rosa and Storm have alternated making saves from the heel pairing for a couple of weeks now, with the two faces finally teaming up in tag team competition.
With regard to the only promo segment currently advertised for tonight’s Dynamite, Luchasauraus and Christian Cage will continue their burial of Jungle Boy. No further news has come out regarding Jungle Boy’s injury status, so we could see this for a few more weeks before he is ready to return to the ring.
Now to the other title match on the card as Scorpio Sky puts his TNT Championship on the line vs Wardlow in a street fight. It is expected this match will have plenty of interference and with Sky working through an injury, we may see him drop the title sooner than he would have wanted.
Finally, we will see Butcher And The Blade take on Swerve In Our Glory. The pair have had much tension over the last few weeks, so it should be interesting to see what Lee and Swerve due to further their storyline. Look out for one to turn on the other, as AEW may decide to pull the trigger on the split as soon as tonight.
Now when it comes to what hasn’t been advertised for the show, it is expected we will see fallout from Blood And Guts from last week. Eddie Kingston said he wants to make Jericho bleed tonight, so we will see what happens in that regard.
