The UFC 276 Press Conference was crazy, and Jon Anik gave his thoughts on a particular possible matchup.

During the presser, Sean Strickland and Israel Adesanya got into a verbal battle. Seemingly, both agreed that if they both win their respective fights on Saturday, that could potentially be the next title fight. Jon Anik, who MC’d the event, commented afterwards while talking to MMAFighting, on the possible matchup.

Sean Strickland, I mean, foundationally, he built a fight with Israel Adesanya, if it wasn’t already built tonight, we talked to Izzy in our fighter meeting, he very much has the appetite to fight a guy who’s 25-3 and riding a six fight, potentially seven fight winning streak. So, yeah, the fabric has been laid for a fight between those two. We’ll see if they can take care of business here at UFC 276.
