Angelo Dawkins Comments On If The Street Profits Got Frustrated With Lack Of TV Time

Angelo Dawkins shares some insight into how The Street Profits have been handled on the main roster.

Since being brought up to the main roster, The Street Profits have wanted the smoke from every other tag team in the WWE since then. While they have not always been champions, they have found themselves consistently at the top of WWE’s tag team division on both RAW and SmackDown.

Speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Dawkins discussed him and Ford not always being on WWE TV:

I’d be lying if I said that there wasn’t. There was a little bit, but it was one of those things where we both had to sit down and be like, ‘Alright, why weren’t we on the show?’ He didn’t start until 2015, I didn’t start until 2012. There were a lot of people at NXT that had been wrestling double digit years while we were in middle school. They had been around the world and all that stuff. It was a mental thing like, maybe they didn’t feel like we were ready. I had been wrestling, at that time, five or six years. Him, three years. The furthest we had ever gone was, California, maybe. We had dudes who had been around the world, like Japan, England, Australia, just traveling around the world and finding themselves so when they got to NXT, they were already made. We were still finding ourselves in a way where, even though we were cool and knew each other and goofed around, it was, ‘how can we make this translate into the ring and into promos?’ Once we got to that, it was, ‘now we’re clicking.'”

Time will tell if we will see Dawkins and Ford recapture the tag titles at this Saturday’s WWE Money In The Bank Premium live event. It is expected the two teams will clash one more time on this Friday’s edition of SmackDown.
