Cody Rhodes To Feature In AEW Fight Forever Video Game Roster

It looks like Cody Rhodes could be in two wrestling games releasing at similar times.

The AEW Fight Forever video game has been in development for quite some time with both Kenny Omega and Tony Khan providing updates on the games production over the last few months. One issue they have ran into is adding more and more talent to the roster of the game. However, it looks like an AEW alumni will take a spot on the in game roster.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Kenny Omega revealed that Cody Rhodes will feature on the AEW Fight Forever Video Game.

“This may come as a surprise to people, but Cody is still in the game,” Omega said. “I was very passionate about making sure his legacy and position within the company were preserved.

“We’ve built this game from the ground up, starting everything from scratch. That’s why I thought this game could coincide with the birth of this company. You get to experience AEW from the beginning, from day one. The game is going to reflect a lot of that, even though our locker room is ever-changing.”

Of course, this will come as a surprise to many in the industry as Rhodes is currently WWE’s top babyface, despite being out with a torn pectoral muscle for the rest of the year. However, he is expected to now appear in both WWE 2K23 and AEW Fight Forever.
