Hangman Adam Page cut a promo on AEW Dynamite saying how after he called out Okada last week for the IWGP title, Okada went and lost the championship to Jay White. But, he still wants that title match. Adam Cole interrupted telling Page that he should be the one to get the championship, not Hangman. Adam then went on to say that Okada will not be here tonight and will also not be competing at Forbidden Door. Instead, Cole brought someone for Page tonight.
Suddenly, Jay White appeared behind Hangman Adam Page and hit him with the Blade Runner. Jay cut a promo saying that neither Adam Page nor Adam Cole will get a championship match at Forbidden Door. Instead, the Champion will pick his opponent.
