John Cena Flew Across The World To Meet A Young Disabled Fan That Escaped From Ukraine

At what point do we just class the 16 time world champion as a saint?

John Cena is one of the most genuinely kind people in the history of the planet. A proud ambassador for Make A Wish, Cena is no stranger to making young fans dreams come through. It feels like forever ago since Russia began their invasion of Ukraine and the bloody war that has followed. People have forgotten that Ukrainian civilians have had to leave the country and set up in another one due to the war. Misha Rohozhyn escaped the Ukrainian city of Mariupol to find safety in The Netherlands from Russia’s invasion. Misha suffers from Down Syndrome, and his mother had to convince him that he would eventually meet his hero, John Cena, to encourage him to continue the journey.

Cena looked to lift the spirits of a young disabled boy from the Ukraine as he flew across the world to The Netherlands to meet the fan. The story was covered by the Wall Street Journal.

Misha is non-verbal and had been isolated in his bedroom in his new home. He became frustrated when his mother was unable to deliver on her promise of a meeting with John Cena, but the WWE superstar took it upon himself to show up.

Cena told the paper what made him want to meet the young man:

“I didn’t want a son to think of his mom in a different light just because she did whatever she had to do to get him to safety. I wanted to tell him today personally that his story really touched me.”

Cena would present the young man with a replica WWE championship and a bunch of other goodies. Photos of the meeting were captured and they would warm anyone’s heart.
