AEW Officials Were Concerned For MJF’s Safety Following Meet And Greet No Show

It’s been a long week for MJF in terms of attention. On Saturday last week, MJF missed a scheduled meet and greet appearance as part of AEW Fan Fest prior to AEW Double Or Nothing. He would be rumoured to be leaving Vegas amongst other reports. MJF would remain in Vegas however and make his scheduled appearance at AEW Double Or Nothing.

Sean Ross Sapp discussed what he’s learned in a recent Fightful Select audio. At one point, AEW officials even thought about breaking into MJF’s hotel room. There was a genuine thought that something terrible might have happened.

“I heard a little more about the meet and greet from Saturday that he no showed. There were a couple of people involved in that that you absolutely do not work if you’re anybody in the company and that Tony Khan would not work and they had genuine concern for MJF’s safety.”

“At one point there was discussion of having his hotel room kind of busted into to make sure he was safe and all that. There were a couple of wrestlers who had to stay overtime who were not happy.”

Obviously, when a person is missing and not answering their phone, the first thought is for the safety of the person rather than the other problems related to their no show.
