Darby Allin Vs Kyle O’Reilly Set For AEW Double Or Nothing

It looks like we will see Darby Allin on Double Or Nothing 2022 afterall.

Darby Allin has found himself in an odd position heading into the Las Vegas PPV. He has not had a match officially announced. However, he took to Twitter last night letting fans know ‘he had a plan’ for Sunday’s show.

It appears that plan now features a one on one match with Kyle O’Reilly. Kyle was the one who injured Allin’s mentor Sting last week on Dynamite and Fightful Select reports that AEW are looking to add the singles match to the PPV.

“It was announced this week that Sting will not be traveling to Double or Nothing weekend after sustaining an injury, but his tag team partner Darby Allin will. Sources Fightful has spoken to also indicated that a match was discussed for the Double or Nothing that would see Allin take on Kyle O’Reilly. O’Reilly was responsible for “Pillmanizing” Sting’s leg inside a chair on last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

The last we’d heard, this match was expected to be announced on AEW Rampage. The match. Darby Allin noted on Twitter that he “had a plan” going into Sunday. AEW haven’t officially announced the match as of yet, so this whole situation could very well change or end up on another show.”
