We now know two of the semi-finalists for the Owen Hart Foundation tournment.
In the main event of AEW Dynamite this week, Jeff Hardy took on Darby Allin in a quarter final match in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. Martha Hart was in attendance for the first round matches of the tournament on Dynamite. Darby Allin requested prior to the match that Tony Khan wave the rules for their matchup and Tony would do it.
From the opening bell this match was exciting. Darby hit a crazy suicide dive early on before bringing out a mountain of steel chairs, making use of the no rules stipulation.
Hardy would bring a ladder to the party soon after. But he was not the one to utilize it as Darby landed one of the craziest spots on AEW TV history.
Allin climbed to the top of a ladder and flew through the sky to the outside, taking Jeff out with him. However later on in the match, following a coffin drop, Jeff would roll up Allin.
Jeff Hardy will now face Adam Cole in the Semi Finals of the tournament for a spot in the finals at Double Or Nothing later this month. Cole also advanced on Wednesday’s Dynamite.
