Aliyah Makes History As First Arab Woman To Main Event Smackdown

Earlier this week on Friday Night Smackdown, WWE ran a segment in the main event where both Charlotte and Ronda Rousey would compete to make Aliyah and Shotzi say the words I Quit to help hype their match at Wrestlemania Backlash. Ronda went first, dispatching Shotzi with ease following a brief cat and mouse chase around the ring. Once Ronda got hold of Shotzi however, she made the former NXT star say I quit in seconds. Next it was Charlotte’s turn to try and make Aliyah say I quit in 1 minute 41 seconds.

As previously mentioned, Charlotte would face Aliyah in her matchup and was unsuccessful in making Aliyah say I Quit, giving Aliyah a moral victory over the champion. Another victory for the young Smackdown star is that she was the first ever Arab woman to main event Smackdown. Congratulations to Aliyah – who also holds the fastest women’s match victory over Natalya. Do you ever see Aliyah holding singles or tag team gold in WWE?
