NXT UK Recap and Results

The show opens up with Andy Shepard as they run down the matches for tonight’s episode including Joe Coffey vs Jordan Devlin in the main event and a tag team match between Symbiosis and the team of Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz. They kick it straight down to ringside as Xia Brookside and Aleah James make their entrances for their match up.

Xia Brookside vs Aleah James

Aleah James was given a full entrance with brand new music and new gear. The match starts off their even as trade wrist locks with some athletic reversals showing off some great old school technical wrestling mixed with more contemporary athletic and agile wrestling. Brookside is the first to strike with a big boot in James’ back but Aleah strikes back with a couple of flying forearms, Brookside gets frustrated. As Aleah goes to use the turnbuckles to get back to her feet, Brookside strikes with the broken wing, driving her knees into Aleah, she sets up up for the Brooksy Bomb but Aleah is able to get a reversal pinning Brookside with a Sunset flip. Aleah James picks up her first win in NXT UK, she goes to shake Brookside hand but Brookside refuses, slapping James’s hand away and heading backstage.

The cameras catch up with with Meiko backstage training with Emilia McKenzie, they ask her about her upcoming match with Jinny, Meiko states she knows Jinny is dangerous but she is not the Final Boss she is the Final Boss.

Dave Mastiff and Jack Starz vs “Sybiosis” Primate and Tyson T-Bone with Eddie Dennis

Mastiff and Starz gain control early thanks to the pace set by Starz’s as he looks better than ever thanks to the confidence he has gained working with Mastiff. Starz is able to negate Symbiosis’ size and strength using his size and agility to out wrestle both Primate and T-Bone. Mastiff and Starz show their tag team chemistry with quick tags in and out as Symbiosis struggle to get going, Starz gets caught on the wrong side of town, finally allowing T-Bone and Primate to take control thanks to a huge scoop slam on the outside from Primate. Now T Bone and Primate cut the ring in half dumping Starz to the outside so Primate can once again slam Starz on the outside, but Starz reverses and slams Primate, dodging T-Bone in the ring he tags Mastiff in. Mastiff comes in hot, hitting T-Bone with huge clothesline and a German Suplex, setting up for the cannonball in the corner, but as he lands it on T-Bone Dennis attacks Starz with a chair causing the DQ. Primate and T-Bone look to continue the assault on Starz and Mastiff, Carter and Smith come down to the ring and make the save.

Back stage the camera catches up with Charlie Dempsy, as Dempsy tries to answer the camera man he is interrupted by Gallus, As Gallus walk off they are confronted by Teoman and Rohan Raja, as a fight breaks out Dempsy watches on as the fight is broken up.

Noam Dar’s Supernova Session

Noam Dar and Sha Samuels now with an in ring set, where they welcome Tyler Bate who comes down accompanied by Trent Seven, Dar and Samuels try to drive a wedge between Bate and Seven. The segment ends when Dar strikes Bate after he gets frustrated that his plan to drive a wedge between Bate and Seven does not work.

Jordan Devlin vs Joe Coffey

Devlin attacks Coffey as he makes his entrance because Coffey had stolen Devlin’s Jacket earlier on, after sufficiently attacking Coffey on the outside he sends Coffey into the ring so the match can start. Coffey is able to use his power to get back into the match as he slows Devlin down but a quick reversal from Devlin is able to send Coffey crashing shoulder first into the turnbuckle. Devlin starts to work over the mid section of Coffey, trying to zap the strength of Coffey, Devlin is seemingly able to tee off at will before locking in an abdominal stretch Coffey powers out but Devlin locks in a body scissors squeezing Coffey’s ribs with his legs. Coffey once again powers out, lifting Devlin up and sending him into the turnbuckles, Devlin looks for a top rope cross body but Coffey catches Devlin with a forearm. Coffey is finally able to get some sustained offence with a couple of clotheslines and diving shoulder block, Coffey is able to land a spring body cross body out of the corner. Coffey tries to send Devlin into a corner but with another quick reversal, he hits Coffey with a cutter from the outside into the ring, Coffey rolls to the outside but gets caught with a top rope spring board moonsault. Devlin sends Coffey into the ring as he climbs the turnbuckle but gets caught by Coffey who launches Devlin from the top turnbuckle with an over head belly to belly, they start to trade strikes in the ring. Coffey gets control landing the Glasgow send off as he picks Devlin up he gets caught with a headbutt, Devlin goes to the top and hits a 450 splash which Coffey is able to kick out off the pin attempt but Devlin quickly follows up with the Devlin Scythe to get a clean pin fall win.
