“The Demon” Finn Balor Returns – will challenge Roman Reigns for WWE Universal Title at Extreme Rules PPV

On September 10th, during WWE Smackdown, Roman Reigns was confronted and challenge for his Universal Title by Brock Lesnar. Originally refusing to answer, Roman addressed Brock after creating a DQ Finish in the night’s Tag Team Championship main event.

As Roman addressed Brock it was Balor who would emerge to steal the show. The pulsing red lights took over Madison Square Garden and it was “The Demon” Finn Balor who would come forth into a face to face stare down with the champion, Reigns.

WWE quickly confirmed that Roman would be facing “The Demon” on September 26th for the Universal Title. “The Demon” persona hasn’t been seen by fans since June 2019 at WWE Super Showdown, according to Fightful.
