Marko Stunt came on to the wrestling seen for most fans during the Zero Hour Over Budget Battle Royal During All In which would eventually lead to the formation of AEW. In reality, Marko has been on the wrestling scene since 2015 working for a few companies including IWA Mid-South, And GCW. Marko is now a part of one of the most popular groups in AEW, The Jurrasic Express consisting of Lucha Sauras and Jungle Boy Jack Perry.
Another company that Marko worked for before his big break with AEW was a small promotion based in Cape Girardeau, Missouri called Cape Championship Wrestling, or CCW for short. It seemed that he must have left a lasting impression on the company. Yesterday on the official Twitter page of the company they announced that moving forward Marko stunt would now act as an EVP and the Co-Booker moving forward.
As many of you know I have been the Booker of CCW for the past 5 years. I’ve always wanted to run a show on my own and create a place for wrestlers to come in, From all different areas and help them shine like they are supposed to.
To give them opportunities that may have not been given to them from other companies, as they didn’t have the right look, gimmick, or build. Helping these workers grow to reach their full potential has always been a goal of mine. Back in 2015 a couple of years before CCW I got to meet a young man who was just breaking into the business. He would do whatever he could to do to pay his dues. Ref, Manage, Wrestle, But the main thing that stood out to me was that we shared the same love for the business.
when he came to work for CCW he quickly became the guy (before he was the guy )And since then CCW has always been his home. Fast forward to today Marco Stunt is a member of one of the coolest groups in professional wrestling (Jurassic express) and working for the hottest wrestling promotion going today (AEW) but still, something missing…
A while back he expressed to me that he wanted to be doing more in the business other than actually wrestling. We would talk and shoot different storylines, angles, ideas, and all the good stuff.
He has a great mind for the business so it was without hesitation to offer him the EVP and CO Booker position of CCW. I am super proud to announce that Marco Stunt has accepted the position and that CCW will be led by us going forward. Our goal is to grow CCW and make it one of the top independent destinations for talent to work for and to be known as a place where a lot of future stars get their start we are all super excited to see what the future holds for CCW!!
We will have to see if this will affect Marko’s current situation with AEW. The fact that AEW has been known for letting its talent shine outside the company is a good thing for Marko and this opportunity.
