Monday Night jaBROnis (RAW Review 9/6/21)

Yes! Yes! Yes! It’s Monday Night Raw BAY-BAY!

The Labor Day edition of RAW was live from the FTX Arena in Miami. Let’s not waste anytime and get right into it.

(Hopefully Reggie opens up the show!)

The show kicked off with RK-Bro coming out and we saw highlights of them successfully retaining their titles last week against Hot Bobby and MVP. After some rambling from Riddle, Hot Bobby and MVP made their way out. Hot Bobby had the chance to become a double champ last week, so Randy thinks it’s time for him to become a double champ. After all was said and done, it was made official that Randy Orton will take on Hot Bobby for the WWE Championship at Extreme Rules. Up next was the tag team turmoil match to determine the number one contenders for the tag titles. MVP stated that he was going to get them added to the turmoil match so Hot Bobby will become a double champ.

Tag Team Turmoil

  • New Day defeated the Viking Raiders
  • New Day defeated Jinder Mahal & Veer (w/ Shanky)
  • New Day defeated Lucha House Party
  • New Day defeated a 42 year old father and his 12 year old son who were chosen randomly from the crowd
  • New Day defeated T-Bar & Mace

After the defeat, T-Bar and Mace kicked the shit out of the New Day. Mansoor and Ali were up next to take on New Day, but they too had the shit kicked out of them by Mace and T-Bar. Adam Pierce and Sonya Deville made their way out to say that the turmoil match is on hold for now, but will continue later on in the night.

Hope that father and son will be okay…

Drew McIntyre vs. Sheamus

The winner of this match will get a shot against Damian Priest for the United States Championship. The finish saw Sheamus counter the Claymore into a rollup using the trunks for the win. What a devastating counter! What a beautiful country! God Bless America! God Bless rollups!

Championship Contender’s Match: Nikki ASH & Rhea Ripley vs. Natalya & Tamina (c)

Shotzi and Nox are already the number one contenders for the women’s tag titles. They have already beaten them three times so far. I guess we were suppose to forget about that.

Obviously Nikki and Rhea picked up the win after Rhea hit the Riptide on Natalya. I guess that the oddball pairing of Orton and Riddle was so successful, they are desperately trying to make that same storyline work for Nikki and Rhea. Unfortunately, no one wants to see that. Don’t have women’s tag titles if there are no tag teams to compete for them. It’s really that simple. The titles haven’t been defended since May 24th! You would think that Lesnar is currently the champ and holding the women’s tag titles with that long of a gap between title defenses.

Karrion Kross vs. John Morrison

Earlier in the day, Kross was a guest on Moist TV and informed Morrison that he was going to tie him up, put him in some leather and have sex with him hurt him. Would of loved for them to push Morrison as a big, credible babyface after the Miz turned on him but whatever. They must use a dartboard to figure out Kross’ opponents weekly. Regardless, here is that match in three photos.

Raw Women’s Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Nia Jax

Shayna got on the mic before the match and said she was interested if Nia was going to choke against Charlotte. We got a predictable match which saw Shayna keep getting involved with distractions until Charlotte finally hit Nia with a spear and Natural Selection to retain. After the match, Alexa Bliss appeared in the ring and challenged Flair for the RAW Women’s Championship. Charlotte let it be known that the ring they are standing in is her playground and accepted Bliss’ challenge.

24/7 Championship: Reggie (c) vs. Tozawa

If we didn’t need to finish the tag team turmoil match, this would of been the MAIN EVENT! However, I’m ok with this being the CO-MAIN EVENT!

LFG!

So this lasted about 30 seconds after Reggie hit his running flipping seated senton on Tozawa for the win. Reggie made his way up the ramp until he was cut off by none other than…

Drake Maverick (pictured above)

This feud will literally print money for this company! Fuck AC, DB and Phil!

Tag Team Turmoil: PART DEUX!

RK-Bro is back out to watch and see who will challenge them for the Raw tag team titles. And here we go:

  • New Day defeated Ali & Mansoor
  • AJ Styles & Omos defeated New Day
  • Hot Bobby & MVP defeated AJ Styles & Omos

After the match, Omos hit Hot Bobby with a double chokeslam before leaving the ring. That was followed up by Orton sliding in and hitting Hot Bobby with an RKO to close out the show.

Bust out a rematch line!

Because after all of this, we are getting for the first time ever RK-Bro vs. Hot Bobby and MVP for the Raw Tag Team titles next week!

You’re move AEW . . . GOOD LUCK!

jaBROnis . . . OUT!
