Update On When Pete Dunne’s WWE NXT Contract Is Set To Expire

There has been a lot of buzz around the contract status of Adam Cole, as his deal with WWE was said to have expired in July. However, a short-term deal was worked out which will see him stay with WWE at least through NXT TakeOver 36, the day after SummerSlam. But Cole isn’t the only top NXT Superstar that has a contract expiring soon.

Former NXT Tag Team Champion, and former WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne’s contract is said to expire at the end of August, according to an update via the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

“Pete Dunne’s deal is also coming due on either 8/31 or 9/1. He’s another super worker who has been in the system for years and should have been a main roster star, even if he started as part of a tag team, long ago. “

Pete Dunne’s last televised WWE match was back on the July 27th episode of WWE NXT TV, when he and Oney Lorcan took on the team of Tommaso Ciampa and Timothy Thatcher.
