Former NXT Referee Drake Wuertz Running For Florida State Rep.

Drake Wuertz was released from his NXT contract earlier this year during a slew of releases, But Wurtz was better known for his political beliefs.

Drake is a self-proclaimed conservative who has no problem expressing his political beliefs. He reportedly missed a taping of NXT so that he could argue about a mask mandate at a school board meeting. He was once trolled by AEW’s Joey Janella at another school board meeting as well.

Well, the former deathmatch wrestler who stepped in the ring with Nick Gage before becoming a referee is taking his love for politics to new heights. Wurtz is now campaigning to become a Florida representative. His website VoteDrake contained the following statement.

The land we love has changed in recent years. We’ve seen our liberties and rights be stripped away at the quake of other’s fears. We’ve been told it’s selfish to defend our God-given rights. We’ve seen leaders become sheep, and men become lions. we’ve seen Florida Rise to lead a nation. Our way of life that we hold so dearly is now at risk of being overtaken by the Marxist left. Florida needs a bold representative to champion our values, preserve our freedoms, bandstand tall against the threat of our great state. Drake Wuertz represents the bold new wave of conservatism.

Drake is a husband, father, Constinaltutionalist, and a proven leader in our community. Drake, his wife Valerie, and their 3 young children proudly reside in central Florida. As a professional wrestler for over 20 years and an elected leader in his local Republican Party. Drake has taken the fight from the ring to the public square in defense of our most vulnerable. Now he’s stepping up as a Republican candidate to represent the hard-working constitutes of district 30 in our State Legislature.

Will district 30 vote Wuertz in? we shall see
