COVID-19 has constantly caused changes in plans for wrestling promotions across the world. Whether it’s a small independent promotion or the WWE, changes have happened. One of those changes recently was reported on by Fightful Select, and it’s given one star props for his willingness to step up.
The site reported that a large amount of WWE Superstars got pulled due to the Covid-19 protocol and it caused some plans to shuffle around following the Superstar Spectacle taping. WWE wound up pulling several stars, and King Corbin was asked to fill in. He had only been scheduled to work the Superstar Spectacle taping that day, but with all the absences, he stuck around to tape SmackDown and worked with Rey Mysterio that night.
Due to several wrestlers missing Smackdown, WWE asked him to also work those tapings, which changed the course of things and reignited the feud with the Mysterio family.
Corbin may not be the most popular person in in the WWE, but he’s always received high marks for being easy to work with and how professional he is. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but work ethic like that should keep him around the WWE for quite some time.
