Rev Pro Release Back To Business Press Statement

Yesterday after Andy Quildan, owner and promoter of British independent wrestling promotion Revolution Pro Wresting (Rev Pro) held a live Q/A with fans as he announced Rev Pro’s road back to Action this Summer, dubbed the Return The Action Tour. During the Q/A Andy would also answer questions from fans, discussing everything from Covid measures, safe guarding and the tag team division he also spoke about trying to be as open and transparent as he could be with the fans.

Rev Pro would later follow this up with a full press release statement which covered everything discussed during the video, whilst also providing links to their code of conducts;

Revolution Pro Wrestling is planning to get ‘Back To Business’ this summer.

Subject to government guidelines we are looking forward to welcoming fans back into venues for the first time since March 2020.

We stress that we will be approaching each event with an abundance of caution & at this point in time tickets will be sold at a limited capacity.* Should we find ourselves in a best-case scenario where restrictions are lifted more tickets will be released in due course.

We are very aware that this is a fluid situation and would like to reassure all fans they can buy in confidence. All tickets come with a guarantee that should the event need to be rescheduled due to Covid you will have the option to receive a full face value refund or move your booking to the re-arranged date.

All shows will be run in Covid secure venues, following government guidelines & for the foreseeable future all participants on the shows (including crew) will be tested for Covid-19 and will be following strict Covid protocols.

These shows will also be the first to welcome the presence of Equity at our events, with whom we signed an agreement with back in September. We will actively be encouraging talent to engage with the Union to ensure they have an independent party to generally assist and advise and if necessary hold us to account. We are confident this relationship will help us continue to provide a safe, happy & fair working environment for all.

Our code of conduct, dignity at work policy and grievance & disciplinary procedures can be found online here: https://www.revolutionprowrestling.com/post/equity-revolution-pro-wrestling-agree-to-code-of-conduct These documents are based on existing processes currently being implemented in the world of theatre. Through regular consultation and feedback based on best practice these documents will continue to change and evolve over time.

We are aware that there will no doubt be many questions and we wish to maintain an open dialogue with fans. As such we will be holding regular (weekly where possible) Friday Twitter Q&A’s (@RevProUK) where fans can ask any questions and we will jump on to a scheduled Facebook, YouTube or Twitch live stream if we think something needs addressing or discussing in more detail than Twitter allows.

There is also an opportunity for our Patrons (patreon.com/RevProUK) to ask questions directly to RevPro promoter Andy Quildan at least once a month which are answered in detail. Whilst these videos are exclusive to Patrons & by their very nature behind a paywall, If there are any answers which we believe would be in the public interest to hear, we will post that segment of the Q&A on our socials.

From Monday, our ticket partners Gigantic will be contacting existing ticket holders, providing them the option to move tickets or receive a refund. Following this process, event tickets will initially go on sale via our mailing list pre-sale on Friday 5th March at 9am with them becoming available on general sale from Monday 9th March at 9am.

The current events schedule looks as follows:

* Please note that due to the nature of the venue we will only be able to run our events at London Cockpit should we be able to sell them at full capacity.

As per the statement they will be hoping to return to live shows with fans, as of the 3rd of June, kicking off in Portsmouth with plenty of shows scheduled in between then and the close of year.

Those fans that currently hold tickets for previously cancelled shows, will be contacted and given the option of a refund or exchanging them for any of the new shows.

Rev Pro have also announced the performers union Equity will have a representative there and they will be actively encouraging their performers to speak with them, whilst making their code of conduct, dignity at work policy and grievance & disciplinary procedures visible for all to see. The statement also notes that all shows will still be subject to Covid protocols, and that for the foreseeable future all talent and ring crew will be subject to Covid testing, ensuring they follow government guide lines.

The Rev Pro Epic Encounters series continues with Epic Encounter 9 Sunday march the 14th which will be available to stream for free on Youtube and Twitch at 7pm GMT (See Full Card Here). Its is likely that Rev Pro will continue to run closed set taped shows between Epic Encounters 9 and their return to action tour.
