Daniel Bryan Name Drops CM Punk on Talking Smack

Last night on Talking Smack while having an interaction with Paul Heyman, Daniel Bryan, name dropped a former Paul Heyman guy, CM Punk.

Daniel Bryan has started a feud with Heyman’s ally, Roman Reigns, and was quickly defeated by Reigns following a grueling Elimination Chamber victory in the Elimination Chamber.

Bryan told Heyman to deliver this message to Roman Reigns, stating that he is the best in the world right now, and also stated he was the best in the world before CM Punk.

Bryan had this to say to Paul Heyman to relay to Roman Reigns:

“I want you to give this message to Roman Reigns. I am no longer putting myself on the backburner. I am no longer putting other people first. I am going out to take what’s mine, and that’s the reign that I’ve had before CM Punk, and that’s the best damn wrestler in the world.”

Daniel Bryan will face Jey Uso next week in a Steel Cage match and if Bryan wins he faces the Universal Champion, Roman Reigns at Fastlane on March 21st. If Daniel Bryan loses to Jey Uso he must acknowledge Reigns as the Head of the Table and the best competitor in the world.

CM Punk’s name is mentioned very rarely since his walk out back in 2014. Punk appeared several times on Fox Sports One with WWE Backstage.
