Vince McMahon Opposed To The Use Of Cardboard Cutouts At WrestleMania

The WWE and the NFL will both be utilizing Raymond James Stadium this year for their biggest events. While the NFL already had the Super Bowl, WrestleMania is weeks away. The NFL used cardboard cutouts to help with social distancing and give off the illusion of having more fans in the stadium, but one person isn’t a fan of the idea.

In a report by Fightful Select, Vince McMahon is said to not be a fan of the idea of cutouts to help fill the crowd. There’s a lot of people in the company suggesting it because it would help the aesthetic of the presentation.

There are several names pushing for them to be used in a similar fashion because of how full the venue looked, including multiple that contacted us in awe of the the visuals were. However, we’ve been told that at least initially, Vince McMahon himself was not in favor of them.

The WWE is already planning to try to put more fans in the stadium than the Super Bowl did, which may be feasible thanks to COVID-19 restrictions already loosening in greater ways than they were on Super Bowl Sunday, plus WWE has always tried to outdo the Super Bowl in terms of attendance. While many would like to see them use cardboard cutouts, it might not be possible for that to happen without Vince McMahon’s consent.
