More Details On Sammy Guevara’s Nixed Impact Appearance

Sammy Guevara is in hot water over issues caused involving a now-canceled appearance for Impact Wrestling. While we’ve had some details already come out over the story involving the issues in this appearance for AEW and Impact Wrestling, we now have more details thanks to a new report from PWInsider.

To recap, the root of the problems stem from Guevara not liking the creative plans given to him for his Impact appearance, leading him to start pitching his own ideas causing him to be pulled from the appearance and not allowed into the tapings. That’s where the root begins, but there is far more to the story.

The PWInsider report reveals Guevara was supposed to work a short storyline at the tapings that happened this past Tuesday through Thursday, which would have been part of Guevara’s storyline of him quitting the Inner Circle. The problems began to surface when Guevara rescheduled his travel to arrive just before the tapings began.

Multiple sources indicate that AEW and Impact worked out the plans but that Guevara did not fly to Nashville the day before the tapings scheduled and rescheduled himself to arrive in Nashville just a few hours before the tapings would begin.

At that point, everyone agreed to the angle, but then Guevara allegedly began texting “alternate ideas” and didn’t want to do the agreed plan. At that point, Impact officials pulled the plug on his appearance. PWInsider was told the majority of his appearance was then given to Black Taurus from the Decay group instead.

Sammy Guevara may not have liked what they had planned for him, but the repercussions of his actions may leave him not liking the fallout of what happened even more.
