Update On Vanessa Borne’s WWE Status

Back during Paul Heyman’s tenure as Executive Director of Raw, he asked for a handful of talents from NXT to be called up. While most of them have either wound up returning to NXT or now seen the light of day on the main roster, one that has remained in limbo is Vanessa Borne. “The Vision” was receiving a decent spotlight on NXT as Aliyah’s then-tag team partner, only to seemingly vanish.

It was later revealed she was one of the talents Heyman called up to the red brand, but she still has yet to be seen there, or even back in NXT. Where has she been?

Ringside News has revealed that since her call up in January of last year, there is still no talk of using her on the main roster. Her last match took place January 31st of last year where her, Jessi Kamea, and Indi Hartwell lost to Catalina Garcia, Rita Reis, and Mercedes Martinez.

The site asked their sources about Borne and they learned that she’s not injured. She continues to work out in the ring and learn, but it was also said she “is still taking major time working in-ring” and they were also told “She’s great, but still green in this style.”

Borne is a former Phoenix Suns dancer and Arizona Cardinals cheerleader, and was seemingly signed only weeks after her professional wrestling debut. She was a competitor in the 2017 Mae Young Classic, but lost to Serena Deeb in the first round.
