The field is set for the AEW Women’s Championship Eliminator Tournament, and in a US vs. Japan bracket, one of the stars on the Japan side is Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling star Maki Itoh.
The four year veteran has been a popular star in both her home promotion and DDT Pro Wrestling, where she has been one of joshi’s most colorful personality. That colorful, and profane, personality shined when she took to Twitter to share her thoughts on being part of the tournament.
It certainly caught the attention of AEW EVP Cody Rhodes, who may have become one of her biggest fans and supporters based on that tweet alone.
Itoh is a popular personality in Japan and fans of her on both sides of the Pacific look forward to her appearance in the tournament.
