Latest On NXT’s Status On USA Network Following WWE Network/Peacock Merge

The impending closure of NBC Sports means NBC will have to find new homes for some of the sports it owns broadcast rights to, including the NHL and NASCAR. NHL has carved out a nice little niche on Wednesday nights and with some of those games moving to the USA Network means that NXT has a future in flux. Now with the WWE Network combining with the Peacock service, fans are wondering if this will affect the future of NXT.

While the announcement of the merger included NXT as part of a list of shows that will be included on the service, fans began to wonder if NXT would now start airing NXT live when these moves are made. ProWrestling.net has now reported that as of now, NXT will remain on the USA Network, and they will continue to have next day replays on the WWE Network and Peacock.

ProWrestling.net has learned that NXT will remain on USA Network and will continue to be available on WWE Network via next day replay.

NBC Sports will cease operation by the end of the year, with USA Network “carrying and/or simulcasting certain NBC Sports Programming” later this year. For now, we don’t have to worry about NXT being moved around, but things could change later this year as the hockey season gets to the playoffs or the 2021-22 season begins.
