Powerhouse Hobbs Says All Out Was When He Realized He Was Meant To Be In AEW

One of the best stories about All Elite Wrestling unearthing hidden gems not before seen in mainstream wrestling is Will “Powerhouse” Hobbs. The member of Team Taz had his breakout moment at All Out’s Casino Battle Royal. Entering the battle royal being mostly known for his appearances on AEW Dark, Hobbs had a breakout moment and has continued to see his star rise. Hobbs recently talked about the emotional surroundings of that battle royal and what it meant to him. While talking to AEW Unrestricted about it, Hobbs revealed it was working that night that made him realize he was meant to be in AEW.

“That whole day was emotional for me. My older brother and I were supposed to get into the business together, he was supposed to be my manager but he ended up passing away on September 5, the day of the pay-per-view. I was motivated more than anything else. I ran into Tony [Khan] the night before and he said, ‘I have something good for you.’ I was in the battle royal for a long time and the elimination had certain spots for me. That moment there, I knew I made the right decision and I was supposed to be here.”

Hobbs has continued to rise his star and despite circumstances changing what looked to be an alliance with Darby Allin and Jon Moxley into his new role in Team Taz, Hobbs continues to be featured every week and is proud to be All Elite.
