UK Promotion OTT Reveals Cody Rhodes Helped Their Company During The COVID-19 Pandemic
Cody Rhodes has occasionally been maligned for his featured role in All Elite Wrestling, but he’s also working hard to make sure pro wrestling is in a better position when he leaves than when he found it. A recent story revealed by UK wrestling promotion OTT Wrestling showed Cody Rhodes quietly helped an independent promotion without most people knowing until now.
Rhodes was tagged in a tweet by the Kicking out of Kayfabe podcast remarking about how Cody went an hour long on an OTT show and the irony of him working backstage in AEW helping with making sure people didn’t go over their times to keep the show flowing. Rhodes took the opportunity to respond to the tweet, revealing he had no idea the show was timed until “the train was off the tracks.”
As good natured as Rhodes’ tweet was, OTT also revealed during the course of his conversation with the podcast’s Twitter account that Rhodes saved the company from being evicted by their landlord so they didn’t lose their building. No matter what you think about Cody Rhodes the wrestler, Cody Rhodes the man continues to show he cares a lot about professional wrestling and the environment of the industry.
