Tony Khan Reveals He Bought The Rights To Jungle Boy’s Indy Theme As A Christmas Gift

Jungle Boy’s indy wrestling career featured the 80’s one hit wonder Baltimora’s lone US single “Tarzan Boy” as his entrance theme. The famous 80s tune that features what some call “the millennial whoop” added to the appeal of Jack Perry’s jungle gimmick, giving indy crowd something to sing along with.

Now All Elite Wrestling fans will be able to sing along at home, at the shows they see Jungle Boy perform at, and hopefully sold out arenas after the COVID-19 pandemic thanks to Tony Khan’s Christmas gift to the Jurassic Express member.

Jungle Boy came out to the song last night on AEW Dark, and later in the evening Tony Khan took to Twitter to reveal that as a Christmas gift to him. Of course, jokes were made online later in the evening, as many people took to Twitter to joke more 80s songs should have the rights purchased to for AEW stars. Evil Uno got in the joke asking for the famous 80s tune Oh Yeah by Yello.

While we may not see the greatest hits of the 80s make their way to AEW, at least Jungle Boy can remind us that he’s on his own like Tarzan boy. You can listen to the classic below.
