Last Night’s SmackDown featured quite a surprise when after months of absence, Sonya Deville returned to the blue brand. It was announced Deville was reinstated after losing a “loser leaves WWE” match to Mandy Rose at Summerslam. The moment surprised several fans, and it turns out surprised the locker room as well.
Ringside News has reported that Deville’s return was “kept under wraps.” Not many people knew about it, but this is her official return. Her rivalry with Mandy Rose will no longer need to be continued with Deville and Rose now on separate brands.
With a lot of talk in the past how she wanted to become “Daddy Deville” as a gimmick in the WWE, she looked the part and even took to social media after the show to tweet “Daddy’s Home” to add to it. This marks her first appearance in the WWE since the trial of her stalker began. While the trial is expected to last well into the summer, Deville looks to finally be back to work so she can get back to life as normal again.
