Pat McAfee has certainly impressed fans with his showing at NXT TakeOver: WarGames. It seems he has impressed Steve Austin.
While speaking to ESPN, Steve Austin was asked about Pat McAfee’s in-ring skills. The WWE Hall Of Famer praised him, saying that he respects him for putting it all on the line. He also praised McAfee’s mic skills.
“He puts it all on the line, he goes for it. His verbal skills — he’s slaying everybody, but he’s not afraid to go out there and put it all on the line. You wouldn’t expect it from someone who goes out there and kicks a football, but Pat McAfee is badass. I think he’s doing a really, really good job. I’d give him a solid A.”
After his incredible showing in NXT recently, it seems McAfee will be taking some time off from NXT. We will have to see what WWE will have planned for him when he is back.
