Lee Moriarty has been one of the top independent stars of the last couple years, and he’s a coveted free agent. If you hadn’t heard of Moriarty, his appearances at the much talked about Collective set of shows back in October opened their eyes to his talent.
Ring of Honor has had Moriarty on their radar for a while, they’ve just had issues bringing him in.
Fightful Select has reported they have tried to bring in Moriarty twice this year, but issues have prevented it from happening. He was supposed to have a Future of Honor appearance prior to the pandemic locking everything down, and then a second appearance at a set of RoH TV tapings was scheduled for the fall, but they wound up pulling that as well.
Alex Shelley has been instrumental in them trying to secure Moriarty, and while it’s unknown what has caused the second scheduled attempt to fall through, there is internal hope Moriarty can be brought in to work with the company at some point. RoH has just wrapped up another set of tapings which should take them through the end of the year, so it might not be until 2021 at the earliest that we see him brought in.
